We’ve rounded up great tips that you can use and take as a guide for a healthy and beautiful canine teeth!
- Make sure you brush their teeth at least once or twice a week. We’ll be doing tips for this one too!
- Dry kibble is better for teeth than wet, soft food
- Use chewy toys specifically for dental health. Very hard toys and bones can cause a tooth to break
- Schedule a dental check-up every six to eight months from a vet
- Be observant of your dog, watch for any changes in behavior, eating, or smell
- Bacteria and plaque-forming foods can cause build-up on a dog’s teeth. This can harden into tartar, possibly causing gingivitis, receding gums and tooth loss
- What they eat can cause them to have bad teeth and bad breath. So be on the lookout for these!
- It very important to know mouth disorders as you can see them coming on
