Some people might think grooming is done just to make their dogs look pretty and cute but it’s something that has more benefits than what some know. Grooming helps in taking care of your pet’s overall health condition so it’s important that you take them to your favorite groomers (ehem, ehem!) regularly.
Here are some tips to prepare your dog to their trip to the groomer’s:
- Make sure to introduce your pet to others so they won’t get shy or shocked during their first visit.
- Recreate, in a way, what they’ll feel during grooming. Run a tooth brush something that vibrates over their paws and head to get them familiar with our tools that are used.
- Reward them for good behavior after their visit.
- Do regular visits – this helps get them used with the location
- Practice grooming at home like clipping their nails and giving them baths.
- Drop off and go, don’t spend too much time leaving your dog at groomer.
- Comb and Brush them often so they get used to it.
- Play with the feet as it’s a sensitive area of the body
- Pick a location that is recommended and will be good to your pup
Hope this helps you and your pup, a lot! See you soon, yes?
